the highest of fruits and vegetables in their capacity to destroy
free radicals.
With flovours that range from mildly sweet (the cultivated type) to tangy (wild), blueberries are extremely nutritional and very low in calories.

(a variety of blueberry) in numerous studies has shown to be effective in improving night time vision and general sight.
In fact the British Air Force pilots in WW 2 used to regularly consume bilberry preserves before their night missions!
Improve Your Brain with Blueberries
In animal studies, researchers have found that blueberries help protect the brain from
oxidative stress
and may reduce the effects of age-related conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
Researchers found that diets rich in blueberries significantly improved both the learning capacity and motor skills of aging rats, making them mentally equivalent to much younger rats.
Also it is believed that eating plenty of blueberries may significantly lessen brain damage from strokes and
other neurological disorders, suggests a study published in the May 2005 issue of the Journal of Experimental Neurology.
