Ok, you all know how
healthy berries are for you...
well let's whip up a neat healthy and tasty antioxidant berrry smoothie. Quick and easy to make if you are in a rush.
You can use fresh or frozen berries. I personally recommend frozen berries, why?
Because frozen fruit is just as nutritious as fresh and the freezing helps to make the preparation a lot easier, convenient, and will thicken your smoothie into a ice-cold frosty treat.
Ready?
What You Need....
3/4 cup frozen berries (try mixed berries or
blackberry,
blueberry,
raspberry
or
strawberry)
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt (organic if you can)
1/2 cup cold water (preferably filtered)
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
You will need a blender for this also a measuring spoon and a half cup size.
Here is what you do....
Use the measuring spoon and scoop half a cup of yogurt directly from the yogurt container straight into the blender.
The measuring spoon needs to be filled to the equivalent of half a cup water and put straight in the blender.
Now put your berries (3/4 cup) into the blender. Also add 1 scoop of whey protein powder.
Now blend away until you are happy with the consistency of the smoothie.
Pour into a glass....and enjoy!
